Conway, 2019.<\/li>\n<li><em>All That You Leave Behind: A Memoir<\/em> &#8211; Erin Lee Carr, 2019. I loved David Carr (enjoyed Night of the Gun, re-found him through Ta-Nehisi Coates), and I actually stayed up way too late to finish this, which I hardly ever do any more, but ultimately I didn&#8217;t think it was great despite being compelling. This came across my radar because &#8220;Always Love&#8221; by Nada Surf (my brother&#8217;s band) is the soundtrack for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-EXqRjcobEQ\">book trailer<\/a>, so I was super-excited about it&#8212;and I guess Carr was a fan too, because they feature in &#8220;Things I Learned from David Carr: A List&#8221;: &#8220;Always love (See band: Nada Surf).&#8221; I&#8217;m sorry I didn&#8217;t like the book more&#8212;it had a lot of potential but needed more structure and more depth. I am interested in Carr&#8217;s documentary work now!<\/li>\n<li><em>The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn<\/em> &#8211; Mark Twain, 1884. Re-read (3rd time maybe?) Quotes pulled, review tbd.<\/li>\n<li><em>Sabriel<\/em> &#8211; Garth Nix, 1995. I can&#8217;t remember if I read the whole thing when I first picked it up about two decades ago&#8212;Mogget, a white cat with a red collar who turns out to be a bound magic being, stuck in my memory, but after the first hundred pages the rest was unfamiliar.
